SHORT ANSWER IS YES! ALWAYS YES!
But Romcoms nowadays are sooo mid like "Anyone but you" HOW IS THAT CONSIDERED A Romcom.
"Romcom" has become such a big umbrella term I HATE IT. "Anyone but You" has snippets of actual humour. It had more emotional cheating than the actual amount of oxygen we have on earth. CAN WE PLEASE GET BACK OUR 2000s era romcoms back; they were witty, actually funny anddd better love plots! I mean I see the potential with "People We Meet on Vacation" It has some wits but AGAIN WITH THE EMOTIONAL CHEATING UGHHHHH. butt, it did get a higher score because there was an angry confession scene in the rain, which is always a pluss. (I still prefer the book over the film; it did NOT incorporate enough of the yearn)
He's gonna hate this but I need Matthew Mcconaughey back onto romcoms, there was a reason he was being re-casted over and over again for romance roles, pleaseee world I neeeed him. I need "How to lose a Guy in 10 days" back on screens or be THE template. I yearnn for the time where a man who'll stop a taxi just to simply clarify if what you said on the magazine was the truthh ahhhh!
BUT WE SHOULD STILL DO A ROMCOM NIGHT! Featuring late 70s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s films. I will show you the world of emotional capacity with wits of coursee~ I just need to start a protest or befriend some film majors so I can get actual romcoms produced in the future! No emotional cheating allowed!

we barely have taxis and you can't stop them stupid no romcom irl
