I find love everywhere, it doesn't have to be romantic, like platonic relationships they've given me much more love and growth far from any romance in life.
Why not romanticise life? why not have a life where you wait for a love letter? Why not make it worth living rather than making it the sole purpose? I don't demand a fantasied meet-cute but it WOULD be nice.
I may love romcom films and books and daydream about my future with someone, but I have a firm belief it's that; romance and love isn't a one and done term. Though often grouped together, they differentiate.
Love: it's a deep affection with great interest in something or someone.
Romance: its affection with sentimental or idealized interests
I want romance like the movies, where you can pick off food from each other's plate knowing you don't like it (Two Weeks Notice) or stand outside a window with boombox to get you to say something (Say Anything) or make constant effort to get your attention and be there for you (27 dresses)
But one thing most romcoms do is that they mistake romance for love which irks me, but obviously I let it slide because its fictional. BUT I CANNOT ABSOLUTELY LET IT SLIDE when someone uses the romcom based love as their COMPLETE standard for dating. Like hello?! its like mindlessly following a religion, it only can get you so far 'til you gotta see the bigger picture.
Long story short, love is real, just not in the way people imagine it.
Now, lets talk about hate. (UGHH I NEED TO MENTION 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU, the romance of it all is sooo goodd, its a constant rewatch)
Hate is a strong word... often grouped with despised or other milder words.
Soo let's say HATE for this section: 10 things I hate in no particular order;
1. Being left on seen - already wrote a blog on it, read it
2. separating yolks and eggs whites! like wdym even with a small speak of yolk in the egg whites, it won't fluffy up, picky butthole.
3. DAIRIES that don't have vanilla, they're supposed to be a convenience, but tell me why I couldn't find it after going to THREE different ones - convenience my ass.
4. THE CULT - DURRRR (I didn't go this morning, I fell asleep.. I'm now a sinner)
5. Books that only have sequels cause its popular, like it's boring move onn!! so many more indie writers who deserve that privilege, same with films! ughh they lost plot many moons ago.
6. Rich people, Let's eat them...I just read a post saying Tr*mp is one of the oldest presidents in the US or whatever, like who cares!
7. Over complicated instruction manuals, like do manufactures HATE ME THAT MUCH TO MAKE IT THAT COMPLICATED.
8. Performative males - especially those who think it's a great idea to have an opinion on my opinion.
9. People going to the jazz club, FOMO is real don't let people say otherwise.
10. People who have a select few ships on hetero couples....
THE END.

Absolutely agree with the romance and love distinction! The english vocab doesn't begin to encapsulate what and how loving should be. All hate list are on point except for maybe... one
ReplyDeleteBig sequels should be beaten and burned
