His playlists consist of artist like: TV Girl, Kendrick Lamar, Vacations, Mitski, Mac DeMarco, Radiohead, Cigarettes After Sex, Kanye West, Alex G, Beach House, Crisaunt, Salvia Palth, The Cardigans (ofc), Chezile, Dream, Harmless, Laufey, Men I Trust, Yot Club, Daniel Caesar, Summer Salt, Thundercat, Julie, Clairo, Strawberry Guy, Tyler The Creator, The Smiths, Gigi Perez, Broadcast, Kali Uchis, Fleetwood Mac, Pavement, Faye Webster, Jeff Buckley, Cults, Eyedress, PinkPantheress, Mazzy Star, Car Seat Headrest, Surf Curse, Deftones, Nafeesisboujee, Nelly Furtado, The Strokes, Pink Floyd, girl in red, Nirvana, Whirr, Foo Fighters, Weezer, Pearl Jam, Metallica, The Smashing Pumpkins, Fleshwater, D'Angelo, Masayoshi, CASIOPEA, Young Jazz Giants, Jamiroquai, MF DOOM, No Doubt, Fiona Apple.

(I had to mention the artists for the FULL effect)

As of this writing the playlist is 39h 20minutes long (listening was a whole project). I played the playlist on shuffle to get full effect and mix the artist's songs. This playlist gives off a heavily nostalgic, late-night and bittersweet bedroom vibe pop and Dream pop. This is cause the playlist heavily features Tv Girl with Jordana. I wouldn't say this playlist is completely not my taste, but it was definitely different as I mostly listen to vibrant songs (music controls feelings, its magic). Nevertheless, I enjoyed listening to a more tone-down playlist.

OUT OF THE MANY songs featured, I'll only mention 10.. I spun a wheel.

The First song featured on the playlist is: "Wesley's Theory" By Kendrik Lamar.

Kendrik Lamar is not an artist I frequent. I have to mention this because I thought he was just another artist over sexualizing women which is not tasteful. So, I take full accountability on how incorrect I was. In this song it profoundly critiques the systemic racism and capitalism (specifically on black artists) It personifies corporate America as "Uncle Sam" always encouraging materialism just to ensnare him with tax fraud - him and other successful black artists, the song highlights the vulnerability of being a successful, Black artist in the industry. It was rather a good song to listen to; it definitely stood out to me amongst of all of them.

I have to mention TV Girl, its literally majority of the playlist! "The Blonde" By TV Girl.

This song heavily critiques societal beauty standards and pretty privilege. In certain industries like the film industry. Blondes are seen as the most attractive this song reflects superficiality of those standards with lyrics like: "Would sell their little souls, Just to make it with the blonde - it's just unearned admiration" then the song continues to highlight what people do to conform to societal beauty standard. I also enjoyed the mid-tempo pop! It was a great mix of instruments to convey their message across.

Unlike TV Girl Strawberry Guy Only one song on the playlist. "Mrs Magic" Strawberry Guy, nevertheless the song still fits into the overall theme and genre in the playlist.

I LOVE THIS SONG, okay, I'm never really the type to listen to songs and do a deep analysis on them, it's too time consuming but since this is a full-on review, I've found to love it! I mention this because "Mrs Magic" show themes of some themes of inner reflection, self-discovery, trying to understand the chaos that comes with life. I love the lyrics that show existentialism "I don't know what I'm doing here" it questions one's true purpose, it truly captures the confusion that comes with life~

Another banger on the playlist is "Cry" by Cigarettes After Sex.

I've heard this countless of times and still cannot get over how it conveys toxic relationships especially when the affection is unequal to the other. UGHHH ITS THE DUALITY OF LOVE AND THE PAIN!! I might be biased because I feel this song with my previous relationship sm. This song captures the yearning and sadness that comes with wanting to continue with relationship but knowing the healthy option is to walk away..

"Darling, I" Tyler, The Creator.

First off, I like the upbeat-ness of this song, a little different from the rest. hmmm.. it's difficult to fully wrap my head around this song as it says "See monogamy, that shit is not for me" it depicts his struggle to be committed which conflicts with his desires to have a long-term relationship because and I quote "forever is too long". Aside me not fully understanding it, I like how he's self-aware and how he depicts his emotions. because I can also relate on some basis with a few of my 'crushes' especially when he raps "I love this girl though, I hit gold mine - until I get infatuated with a new bitch" because that's how it's like that sometimes, its just infatuation. I don't really like how he refers to women as "bitches" though, but to each their own.

"Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want - 2011 Remaster" - The Smiths

It's a short song, not many lyrics but it hits. Its like desperate plea to literally get what you want, saying I've done some morally good things in life, now allow me to get good fortune. The lyrics repeats "please" out pure longing to receive goodness in life. "Lord knows, it would be the first time". I love the smiths!

Woah another song about desire of connection! "String" by Alex G.

The songs start off with a heavy bass, and the lyrics begin "I do believe you're moving at a pace. A little too slow for my taste" In the song they're concerned about one's pace in life and wanting a deeper connection and also depicts fear of being controlled, which is sooo mecore! "are you a girl on a string?" answer is yes.

"Happy Meal 11" The Cardigans (bear with me I don't know how to the roman numerals on here).

An obligatory mention! The song mentions desires to impress and create the perfect date! This song is definitely the happiest songs I've mentioned so far, it shows anticipation for the date and happiness for a connection! I love the romance of it all~ "No one can be happier than me" Ughh I love that feeling to be fulfilled! beautiful song.

"Space Song" By Beach House

This song depicts themes of heartbreak, connection (I'm sensing a pattern heree) and love. It explores loneliness and past relationships it evokes a sense of longing (again with the patternn) and vulnerability. "fall back into place" the person is yearning for how it was before. I'm not a musical genius or whateva but the instruments just heavily affected me in this songg~ ughh overall great song, very emotional.

WAHHH ITS THE LAST SONG!! It was decided by Spotify that the last song will be "Sofia" By Clario.

Clario sings about her sexuality and her very first crush on a WOMEN. I also wanted this song to be featured on here because this song was there for me when I went through my own acceptance. Clario sings about her self-acceptance, longing for liberty to choose whoever she would like! and "forbidden" love. "Sofia, know you and I shouldn't feel like a crime" Like helloooo, I felt this so hardd. The lyrics convey such a vulnerability and courage to go outside the societal norms~ same sex attraction shouldn't be seen "taboo"!

I love how the songs featured question society which we all should do more often!! I love all of them feature strong emotional significance to us now and how our generation and many before us cope with societal standards. I appreciate the continuous themes of longing, deep connection and love, the playlist maker is deffos a loverboy/girl. (a compliment btw) I will continuously look for your playlist hehe. I found a lot of songs that I personally added to my playlist!

  1. i was so afraid because you chose my long playlist and not the short one but YOU LANDED A FEW GOOD ONES. Wesleys Theory has such a good and weird wonky song, and it has thundercat WHO I LOVE. Very peak song for sure, I really love how he speaks on the themes and so sad he moved on from these kinds of songs.

i really do love blonde, and as a blonde, i cannot relate but PLEASe sell your little souls to make it with me everyone. but yeah its so catchy and I love TV girl, need to listen more. Gotta be more performative. More yearning.

LOVE mrs magic heard it so much on tiktok and stuff and fell in love with it myself, but never ever explored the artist outside of this song. It was mainly one of the few songs I started with, including tv girl and alex g. strange how my music taste evolved from there, but fun fact the first playlist I listened to was MADE for me based off of my lack of knowledge on music, fun!!!

mmmm havent listened to cigarettes after sex in awhile, i was kinda performatively listening to them for a bit, but also kinda liked them. Yeah the messages are nice but their music sounds the same. same beat, tone, and tempo. Pretty sad, but hey the lyrics are relatable so its ok

now I DO NOT relate to being bad at commitment in relationships, but darling i IS JUST TOO GOOD TO SKIP. its a good song, and to some degree I relate?? Like i do keep falling in love but not in like a "im dating someone but still searching" more of a "im not dating therefore im searching" so it doesnt relate but ITS TOO GOOD.

yeahhhh i love the smiths but this song is so POSER coded. sorry but if you ever truly want to get into the smiths i'd recommend this charming man (my fave), reel around the fountain for slower, still ill, this night has opened my eyes which is also slower and def how soon is now

mmm i should have paid attention to this song because STRING IS A BANGER!!! CERtIFIED! HASHTAG! BANGER! no really i love this and mis and master and clouds they are all such instrumental peak but 16 mirrors sarah and mary and adam UGH THEY ARE ALL SO GOOD

yeahhh i relate to Happy meal II ( i dont know if your right or if i am sorry) but its a song from the cardigans i like but not entirely. its okay, just not the vibe ive looked for in the cardigans, still a good song nonetheless (BIG WORD)

hey listen im not THAT heartbroken ok??? its just heartbreak is such a common theme in life and the world and experiences that its so human and beautiful, so even though ive only had it a few times its still the most intense emotion in the world therefore I LOVE IT and because of how huge of an emotion it is, it is often expressed the best. anyway the song, space song, not too big of a fan of this one, but good i guess

loooove clairo and love this song, but once again PREFER OTHER SONGS FROM HER WISH I COULD PUT YOU ON. sexy to someone, glory of the snow, add up my love, LOVE IT.

yeahhh strong emotions means really strong music, so all the big emotions always mean big good music. will take the loverboy comment well, certified loverboy, certified freaksalot.

    1. I need the "correct" one to see if there's any differences at all, because it seems like were just reviewing random songs. But i'm glad I hit some of them, i guess.
For the plot, I guess, I'll sell my little ol' soul..
CFS deffos one of those artists when a melancholic feeling chases you, But I understand why people performatively listen to it (you included)
Is it the beat you like? or the song in general? because... you still liking is still questionable..
interesting list, ill look into it~!! We should do a listening partyy!! of accumulated songs we recommend~
I'll listen more to Alex G. I really like how alex main focuses on the instruments instead of the lyrics being the main focus!
ooo fancy with your big word, ill do another entire about the cardigans dw, its in the books for now
you can keep telling me otherwise, but your playlist says it all! I'll listen to the musicccc~
I've listened to her other songs, its just this one specifically got featured cause Spotify and me picked itt
Yess, loverboy, I actually love that song by A-wall
